About Jason Gillis

Jason Gillis is the founder and lead instructor of Northern BC Guard Academy. With over two decades of service in the RCMP based in Prince George, Jason brings unmatched experience, insight, and leadership to the classroom. His real-world policing background allows him to train future security guards not just on what the rules are — but how they apply in real life.

During his 23 years in law enforcement, Jason worked in a wide range of situations including community policing, crime prevention, and incident response. He understands the importance of staying calm, being professional, and making quick decisions — skills that every security guard must learn.

At Northern BC Guard Academy, Jason combines practical training with personal attention. His teaching approach is down-to-earth, respectful, and designed to help every student succeed — even those with no previous experience. He ensures that the classroom is welcoming, the content is easy to follow, and students feel confident by the time they complete their training.

Jason is also deeply committed to raising the standard of security services in Northern BC.
